Affordability

The most pressing issue in our district, the cost of living is becoming so high, our people are unable to maintain a good, reasonable quality of life. Today, according to Money.com, a pound of beef costs more than the minimum wage in Pennsylvania, as well as the federal minimum wage. The cost of putting food on the table, the cost of keeping a roof over our head, the cost of filling up our car - it is all rising astronomically. But we can reduce these costs to our people by reinvesting in the district.

The PA Supreme Court ruled that Pennsylvania has to fully fund its schools. Our current state representatives have not implemented this directive. We need representation that will direct the money necessary to our schools. When Pennsylvania fully funds its schools, it will bring down our people’s property taxes. We also have to bring business to the area and make sure they are paying their fair share. We need to bring in good paying jobs for our people.

When we have good school districts, it causes more people to come to the 120th, which will bring good businesses, which will bring more people. By investing in these two areas - schools and businesses - our leaders can help create a positive feedback loop for the area, which will lower the cost of living and increase the quality of life for everyone.
